2010 Show Season Ends
A long but wonderful art festival and craft show season ended last weekend at the Sullivan Gym in South Portland. I sold the original of “Dances with Trees”, which was one of the trees that began my new career as “the Tree Woman”. Today was the first morning in months where I woke up and it wasn’t dark out. I actually “slept in” until 7 am! First chore today is to start cleaning up where the bomb went off in my studio. I should take a picture of it, but it’s too embarassing. Ok, maybe first chore is to start framing the art that’s getting shipped to my wonderful children for Christmas.
No rest for the weary though…I am going to be part of a great venture in downtown Bangor…a shop called Maine Jewlery and Art (more info coming soon), but visit their website at www.mainejewelryart.com, or see posted works on Facebook. I will be bringing them a collection of framed work and cards at the end of this month. Also still showing…Creative Maine: The Works of Local Artists at the Monkitree Gallery in Gardiner… I have a framed piece, cards, and some matted Giclee prints there this month. And let’s not forget Lisa Marie’s Made in Maine Shops in Bath and Portland! If you want a quality, beautiful Maine gift of any kind there is no greater place to go. But, my biggest project is getting 28 pieces framed for my solo hanging at Maine General from February to April.
Lots to do…no time to blog. Please share my website with your family and friends this Christmas.
