UMC LAST SHOW OF THE YEAR – DEC 4 & 5 – PORTLAND, ME
A long and fruitful 2010 show season comes to an end for me next weekend at the Sullivan Gym in South Portland all day Saturday and Sunday. That’s this UPCOMING weekend, folks, and I hope you all turn out for my last hurrah of the year ! I can’t say I will miss the hours of loading and unloading my little Honda Fit (AKA the “clown car”) or hauling racks, washing black sheets, driving to shows in pre-dawn hours, and then driving home in the dark….but I will miss the many wonderful craftsmen and customers who made 2010 a truly wonderful 2nd show season for me. I sold a lot of my originals, many prints, and thousands of cards…each piece sent out on its own little journey to spread of the word of the “Tree Woman” as I have been so aptly dubbed. All of it confirms my own intuitive belief that I have found what I was meant to do (after the job of motherhood…which never really ends). Every tree I draw is an expression of my personality, my rampant imagination, my love of the outdoors, and my need for humor in my life. Thank you all for supporting my creative muse, not only by buying my art and spreading it around, but by encouraging me, sending me tree photos, telling me tree stories, and leading me into new directions that I might never have gone without you.
