Last year I answered a post for “art exhibitors wanted” at the Viles Arboretum in Augusta, Maine. What better place to exhibit tree art than at an arboretum was kind of the way my thoughts went. The arboretum has a large room at it’s visitor center where they hold meetings, etc., and the walls are large and white and would be very empty without art. They rotate art in 3 month rotations, which means there is only room for 4 artists a year. I did not get in, but asked to be kept in the back of their minds for future years, even though at the time a year seemed very far away! Yesterday I received an email asking me if I would like to be the exhibitor from October to December this fall. Yay! On that happy note, I am going to leave blog writing for another day, and get back to my drawing desk. It might not be until fall, but I’m feeling the pressure to produce, which is a new feeling, along with the wonderful thought that maybe following my truest heart to be a tree artist was a good idea after all!
